March Roundtable: Using Council Camps for Unit‑Led Adventures

This month’s Roundtable highlights how troops can make the most of council‑owned camps as rental sites. These properties offer maintained campsites, established fire rings, and shelters — giving units a reliable, well‑supported place to run their own outdoor program.
Leaders will compare:
  • Best practices for reserving campsites and navigating availability.
  • Ideas for troop‑run weekends, from skill‑building to simple campouts.
  • Ways to support council properties while using them for flexible, unit‑led outings.
It’s a chance to swap tips, discover under‑used sites, and strengthen your troop’s outdoor calendar while keeping the adventure close to home.
 
Whether your troop welcomes one AOL or a dozen, this session will give you practical tools, fresh ideas, and a supportive space to learn from one another.
