Receive a 250th Celebration Patch if You Are The First 100 Scouts to Register and Attend the Clinic 

Scouts Need to Complete the Pre-Reqs (see below), to Earn MB’s at the Clinic and /or Complete at Home.   

Scouts May Select Up To 3 Merit Badges to Work on At the Clinic 

Merit Badges Offered 

  • American Heritage (3 & 5) 
  • Genealogy (2, 3, 4, 6, & 7)
  • Law (Must be 13 years old and be able to attend a half day on April 10 in court, with PD and DPA)
  • Sustainability (1, 2 watch: Global temperature anomalies from 1880 to 2017, 6b & 9)
  • Citizenship in the Nation (Download and review: ER- Citizenship in the Nation Workbook v2022 Fillable.pdf )
  • Citizenship in the Community (Think about and decide on activities for 3a, 4a, 4b, 5, 7a, 7b & 7c)
  • Citizenship in the World ( 7 ) 
  • Nuclear Science
  • Stamp Collecting
  • First Aid (Bring: Scout Handbook, Personal First Aid Kit and a Pad to use on the floor)
  • Dance Certificate (Join an instructor to earn a certificate and help Scouting of America decide if this should be a merit Badge)
  • Aviation (limit of 6, must be 13 years old and be able to attend part of a day with a flight instructor-usually the following weekend)

8:05 AM Welcome & Clinic Introduction by Eagle Scout Daisy Roberts and General George Washington 
8:15 AM Awards Presentations by SAR 
8:25 AM Merit Badge Class #1 Begins 
9:50 AM Break 
9:55 AM Merit Badge Class #2 Begins 
11:20 AM Snack!  Merit Badge Counselor Tables Open for Blue Card Completion and Learn About SAR (bring lunch if wanted) 
11:30 AM Merit Badge Class #3 Begins 
12:55 AM Merit Badge Counselor Tables Open for Blue Card Completion and Learn About SAR 
1:30 PM Merit Badge Clinic Ends 

Activities Include: 

  • Learn how you can compete for up to $10K in college scholarship money! 
  • Learn about colonial life by speaking with Compatriots from the SAR Color Guard 
  • See / touch artifacts and replicas from the SAR traveling history treasure chest 

Cost: $2.00 per Scout (Friends of Maple Valley Scouting pays for most of the clinic’s costs)
